Myrtle Wilson

Myrtle Wilson is Tom's mistress and the wife of the lifeless George Wilson. She owns a garage in the run-down area known as The Valley of the Ashes, a place where all of the city's waste is stored. She is manipulated during the novel, despite being a cheating and lying person. In the end she is used as bait for Tom to get back into his relationship with Daisy.
